So, how deep is the white stuff around your house?

Depends where you’re looking… anywhere from three to ten feet of ground coverage locally. I’ve seen it worse. The problem this year is that all but one storm dropped “Sierra Cement”, and the temperatures have stayed low. Ski injury conditions… piles would need to be dynamited before they could be moved, and everything (interluding the roads) are covered in ice. I have a foot-thick ice dam on the roof.

Wow, that’s a lot of snow. Sounds like most of it is frozen, too. Frozen snow can be great for hiking over, but not so great for clearing off a road or sidewalk.

I went outside and and saw a normal size groundhog. I asked it whether it had seen its shadow. It’s reply was “Eh?”
