I’ll also steal a quote (Muri) and wish you a New Year that exceeds expectations, TG.

Thanks. That was an unexpected wish, so expectations have already been exceeded.
Happy New Year to you, too.

One has to be interested in war and peace to want to read Tolstoy however, regardless of whether you read Tolstoy (perhaps his Anna Karenina is more your style?), have a great New Year and may you have many pun times. 🙂

I’ve found that war is always more interesting than peace. But peace is more enjoyable, as long as you can stir up enough trouble to make it interesting.
I’ve never tackled Anna Karenina, though I watched the movie once. This was after a war over the TV remote, which ended after I peacefully surrendered it to my wife.
Have a Happy New Year, too! 🎉

I never tackled reading Anna Karenina, but maybe I will in the New Year.

Sounds great, but be careful with the tackling, as I understand she has a delicate physique.

I believe in the possibility of being happy every time I get on WP to read your posts.
Happy New Year! May the smiles keep coming! 😊

Same to you. And thanks for all your happy (though occasionally, sickeningly sweet) posts over the past year.

😂 Sorry about the “sickengly sweet” posts ….. maybe!
Perhaps I should read more Stephen King. LOL!

Or, maybe you should apply for a job with the Hallmark Channel.

Now there is an idea. I could save them so much time thinking of story lines by just sending them my stories. I haven’t seen a Hallmark movie yet that has an enchanted cowbell in it!

I agree. They need some Betsy stories. I’d actually sit through an entire Hallmark movie, if it was about Betsy.

I guess I will have to make that a goal for 2023. 😉

Just shake your cowbell and it should make it all come true.

What a fantastic quote, what a fantastic wish. And I’ll add a story that I heard attributed to John Lennon “When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
Yay to happiness and many smiles!

That’s a good quote. One thing I learned in school was not to believe everything I learned.

One must believe in the possibility of hoppiness to enjoy an IPA I guess.

With that pun, I suspect you’re having a Hoppy New Year right now.

I might be sipping a little brandy leftover from making fruit cakes

Yeesh. I’m not sure which is more poisonous, brandy or fruit cakes.
