Yeah, he had that good ol’ mafia attitude of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.

A variation on, “Keep your friends close; but keep your enemies closer.”?
I recall reading that when challenged to a duel, he chose long-swords as weapons… causing his opponent to back down. I guess it’s easier to get close when you have a long reach.

I first read that as you being challenged to a duel, LOL! I was like Wow! She has fought with a sword before. Apparently I am still tired! Or maybe its the Triple Mint Truffle that I had for breakfast. ☺

Ha! My brother and I used to beat the cr@p out of each other with our dad’s Kendo stuff… “shinai vs. bokken” (bamboo vs hardwood). Lots of bruises, but no severed limbs.

Ooh so I wasn’t far off😄
Glad to hear that there were no severed limbs!

I’m trying to figure out why there were no severed limbs. Frankly, I’m stumped.

I was thinking maybe the mafia was inspired by him.
He was tall and rangy, so that was a smart choice of weapons.
